How to Unlock Co-Op
To unlock Co-Op, you’re going to need to complete a few of the main quests first. But don’t worry because it shouldn’t take long to complete these missions due to the world not being fully opened yet. But after completing the Markers of Plague mission, not only will the world open up, but you’ll also unlock Co-Op multiplayer.
How to Play Co-Op
Now that you’ve unlocked the Co-Op feature, there are a few things you’re going to need to do. First and foremost, make sure you’re connected to the internet so you can play with others. Next, you’re going to need to head over to the Online Menu. There are two ways to do this; the first way is to pause the game and head over to the Online Menu tab or open up your inventory and hold the button that’ll take you to the Online Menu.
Once you’re in the menu, you’re going to see a lot of different tabs to pick from, but before you do anything, click the Online Options tab. Make sure that the Game Type is not on Single Player, and if it is, change to any of the online settings you want.
After you’ve done that, you’ll see your character standing in a pose on the left-hand side, with three outlines of other characters.
Once you have players in your lobby, the outlines will be replaced with their characters. The host of the lobby will always have an A next to them and the second will have a B the third will have a C and the fourth will have a D.
Now that you have a friend in your lobby go out there and slay some zombies together!
