FIFA 19 will soon be hitting shelves in stores across the world, but a demo version of the game has already been released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

A scaled-down edition of the game, the demo tees up the new release by giving a taste of what’s in store, showcasing some of the teams, venues and fresh innovations.

Demos have become increasingly dense in recent years, but fervent gamers will still have to wait for some of the other features, such as Ultimate Team.

Ahead of the release, Goal takes a look details about the FIFA 19 demo, including how to download it, which teams are included and more.

When is the FIFA 19 demo released?

The FIFA 19 demo is out now after being released on September 13, two weeks before the full game release on September 28.

Players that pre-order FIFA 19 Champions or Ultimate editions on PS4, Xbox One, or PC will get access three days early on September 25.

Origin Access Premier members on PC will be able to play the full game on September 20, while Origin Access Basic members on PC and EA Access members on Xbox One will also be invited to participate in the Play First Trial on September 20.

Which teams are in the FIFA 19 demo?

There are a total of 10 clubs available to play with in the FIFA 19 demo.

Last year, the FIFA 18 demo featured 13 playable teams, which means that there has been a slight decrease.

The clubs which feature in the demo are:

• Atletico Madrid
• Bayern Munich
• Borussia Dortmund
• Juventus
• Manchester City
• Manchester United
• PSG
• Real Madrid
• Roma
• Tottenham

With the Champions League featuring strongly in the new game, it’s not surprising that the FIFA 19 demo includes Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano, which will host the 2018-19 final.

The Santiago Bernabeu is the only other stadium available to play in, meaning there has been a reduction from the four that featured in the FIFA 18 demo.

What can you do in the FIFA 19 demo?

You will be able to play the new Kick-Off mode with one of the aforementioned 10 teams and part of that includes being able to sample a Champions League group stage match.

Also included as part of the FIFA 19 demo is the first look at The Journey: Champions, which is the final chapter in the Alex Hunter saga.

How to download the FIFA 19 demo

Users can download the demo through the EA Sports website for PlayStation 4, Xbox and PC.

Thankfully, it’s quite simple to get the FIFA 19 demo on all platforms. The easiest way to do so it to simply head to your platform’s storefront, whether that be the PlayStation Store or Microsoft Store. Since it’s a new and high profile release, it’ll likely be one of the promoted games on the store, appearing once you open it up, but if not, you can head to the demos part of the games section.

It should then be right at the top of the list of demos because it’s the most recent to release. You can also search for it if needs be. Once you find it, click on the download option and it’ll begin to download.

If you’re on PC, you’ll have to download the FIFA 19 demo via the Origin Store. If you click on the Try It First option on the Origin Store, then you’ll be given the option to download the FIFA 19 demo.

FIFA 19 allows players to assemble their dream team or play as an existing team and participate in different imagined or real-world football campaigns or scenarios. The UEFA club competitions are featured in the football simulation game. Players can customize the play style of their team.

They can choose whether or not the fullbacks have to overlap or how fast they press after getting a heavy touch from their opponents. This makes the gaming experience more immersive without disturbing the game flow.

Timed Finishing is another game mechanic that players can enjoy. It allows players to add a new difficulty layer as they try a shot. If they can complete a timed sequence, it can add aim and vigor to their effort. Timed Finishing allows the player to press the kick button a second time to know the exact moment the ball is kicked.

Another exciting feature is the 50/50 battles, which allows players to determine how a player will get loose balls. Dynamic Tactics allows players to organize strategies and change between them in real-time during matches. New skills have been added such as La Croqueta, the signature move of Andrés Iniesta.

There are also 25 new icons to look forward to, including Bobby Moore, Hidetoshi Nakata, Steven Gerrard, Rivaldo, Johan Cruyff, Luís Figo, and George Best. Players can buy card packs and improve their squads. Rarer cards offer unique introduction sequences. The game offers weekend tournaments as well as weekly and daily challenges.

Players can join the UEFA Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, and UEFA Champions League. FIFA 19 allows players to use Wanda Stadium and other locales. The game doesn’t have a massive roster of players. You don’t need to worry because there is more than enough for teams.
