Посмотреть надо вторую строку на наклейке сзади (на дне), там будет:

P/N: RIR300EEU. A1G
H/W Ver.: A1 F/W Ver.: 1.03
S/N.

Здесь H/W Ver. и есть аппаратная версия, если стоит A1, значит надо обновлять как А1:

Версия прошивки как и написано 1.03, идём на ftp ftp://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DIR-300/Firmware/ и качаем файл readme_first.txt. Сейчас там написано:

Please upgrade firts f/w to http://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DIR-300/ … 105B07.bin, then upgrade to last f/w

Заходим в роутер через Web-интерфейс, Maintenance -> Firmware Update, раздел Firmware Upgrade – выбрать только что скачанный файл прошивки, и нажать Upload.
После этого 3 минуты не трогать роутер и не выключать!
Затем снова залогиниться, идти туда же, но аплоадить уже последнюю версию ftp://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DIR-300/F … 105b09.bin
а когда и её прошивка завершится, можно скачать русский лангпак ftp://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DIR-300/F … ack_ru.bin , его надо заливать в раздел Language Pack Upgrade (чуть ниже раздела обновления прошивки).

Более новая версия NRU отличается тем, что для аппаратных ревизий 5 (и больше) нельзя заливать прошивки от более ранних B1, B2, B3 (более подробно: ftp://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DIR-300_N … rst. doc )
Для обновления прошивки необходимо подключиться к роутеру через порт Ethernet (если шить по Wi-Fi – это может привести к неработоспособности роутера).

Обновлял DIR-300 rev.B1. сейчас последняя прошивка 2.06. Есть такой эффект: долго не трогал роутер, и через *.dlinkddns.com не работает ничего (RDP). Залогинился в роутер – заработало. Ещё – он тупит. Т.е. вот заходишь в какой нибудь раздел настроек, и ждёшь несколько секунд. А если перезапустить роутер – будет всё мгновенно.

dir300b-revb-ddwrt-webflash.bin прошить не удалось, т.к. роутер ругался что это не прошивка от производителя (ну естественно. ).
В итоге я прошил не dir300b-revb-ddwrt-webflash.bin, а dlink-dir300b-factory-webflash.bin – прошить удалось. Потом попробовал уже в той прошивке прошить dir300b-revb-ddwrt-webflash.bin – тоже получилось, но разницы я не заметил.

Версия прошивки DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/07/10) std – build 14896

Запустил роутер после прошивки, подключился (192.168.1.1), он сразу просит задать админа и пароль (2 раза). Задал.
Потом иду Administration\Language Selection\ выбираю Русский.

Затем иду в Установки,
Тип соединения PPPoE
Имя пользователя, пароль
Имя сервиса: omkс

Имя маршрутизатора DD-WRT
Имя хоста DIR-300
Имя домена Samovar
MTU было автомат (1500), заметил что потом само переключилось на “вручную” и стало 1492

Задал Локальный IP-адрес 192.168.0.1 как мне и нужно, маску 255.255.255.0, остальное оставил по нулям (шлюз и локальный DNS)

Я выбрал noip.com, потому что там даются 3 редиректа бесплатно, вида: имя.no-ip.biz
Т.е. я смогу подключаться домой по RDP вида: имя.no-ip.biz:порт

A couple of days ago I was able to set up a new WiFi router D-Link DIR-300 NRU REV. B7. No problem with this, in general, did not arise. Accordingly, we will talk about how to configure this router on your own. Despite the fact that D-Link has completely changed the design of the device that has not changed several years, the firmware and the interface of the tincture completely repeats the interface of the two previous revisions with firmware from 1.3.0 and ending today – 1.4.1. Of the important, in my opinion, changes in B7 is the absence of an external antenna – I do not know how it will affect the quality of the reception / transfer. DIR-300 and so did not differ in sufficient signal power. Well, oh well, time will tell. So, go to the topic – how to configure the DIR-300 B7 router to work with the Internet Beeline provider.

The newly acquired and unpacked router is connected as follows: the provider cable (in our case – Beeline) connect to the yellow port on the back of the router signed by the Internet. The attached blue cable in one end sticking into any of the four remaining router sockets, another in the network card connector of your computer. We connect the power to the router and wait when it boots, and the computer will determine the parameters of the new network connection (do not be surprised that it is “limited” and necessary).

Note: During the router configuration, do not use the available Beeline connection on your computer to access the Internet. It must be disabled. Subsequently, after setting up the router, it will also no longer need – the connection will install the router itself.

It will not be superfluous to make sure that in the local network connection parameters for the IPv4 protocol settings are set: to receive IP address and DNS servers addresses automatically. To do this, in Windows 7, click the connection icon below to the right, select “Network and Common Access Control Center”, then change the adapter parameters, with the right click on the “connection on a local network – Properties, and make sure that they are not written there any either static addresses. In Windows XP, the same properties can be viewed in the Control Panel – Network Connections. It seems that the main reasons for which something may not work, I took into account. We go further.

The first step to configure the L2TP (Beeline works on this protocol) on the D-Link DIR-300 is the launch of your favorite Internet browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari on Mac OS X, etc.) and the transition to the address 192.168.0.1 (Enter this address to the browser address bar and press ENTER). On the next page, where the newly created connection will be displayed, we will again be offered to save the configuration. We save.

Now, if all operations above were performed correctly, if you are not mistaken when entering the connection parameters, then when you go to the “Status” tab, you should see the following joyful picture:
